Project Embrace
Some children do not learn the same way others do. They seem unable to understand simple verbal and non-verbal communication and are incapable of social interaction and play. This makes communication difficult and causes these children to withdraw from the world. Autism is the most common of the Pervasive Developmental Disorders, affecting an estimated 1 in 166 births and that number is on the rise.
The organizations that have joined PABA to form Project EMBRACE such as the Autism Society Philippines, are composed of developmental pediatricians, therapists and parents of children with Autism. Strict adherence to association standards prompts continuing international training that ensures keeping abreast of the latest and most effective methods and approaches to managing Autism.
